Do you take photographs already? Maybe even have your own underwater camera and housing? Want to improve your photographs and learn how to get the most out of an underwater camera.
Our instructors would be happy to spend some time with you giving you personalised help to improve your underwater photos focusing on any aspect of the hobby that you feel you need help with. From technical camera advice to body position in the water and computer editing techniques.
Who is this course suited to?
This course is designed for divers who already take photographs underwater and may have their own equipment, although the price includes camera rental.
It is our most flexible course, designed to provide one-on-one tuition specifically targeted to help you improve your underwater photographs.
If you plan to make a few dives with a camera, this is the ideal course to take on the first day of your dive holiday to ensure your photos do not disappoint.
Typical Itinerary:
- On the evening before you dive, meet your instructor at our studio and review some of your underwater photographs. Discuss which areas of underwater photography you want to concentrate on and receive practical advice on how to get more from your photographs.
- The next day meet at Scubafish dive centre at 7.45am for a tea or coffee, before making your way the boat, where you can relax and enjoy breakfast.
- After breakfast, review some practical tips and tricks and plan the first dive with your instructor.
- Make your first dive with your photography instructor at your side.
- During the surface interval, we have lunch, then discuss the first dive - giving you as much feedback as possible to make sure you get the most out of your next dive.
- On the second dive, we will try some different subjects and techniques and collect more great photos of our many fascinating underwater residents.
- Arriving back at the dive centre at around 2pm, we will have a look at your photos, discuss areas for further improvement and give you a computer editing workshop.
- Finally, if you are diving again we will set up the camera for the next day.

At the end of your course we will burn a CD of your photos and any edited versions for you to take home and enjoy.
