Awards & Publications
Liquid Lense is very fortunate to have an very talented team at their disposal. Not only are Tara & Phil published underwater photographers, but they also have a number of awards, accolades and recognition under their belts.
Tara’s incredible photo of a Tube Anemone at dusk was featured on National Geographic recently. The image can be viewed and downloaded as a wallpaper from National Geographic. Her work has also featured in Scuba Diver Australasia Magazine and she notched up a hatrick of monthly photography competition wins in BSAC’s 2009 underwater photography competition.

Tara's beautiful Tube Anemone was featured by National Geographic
She was unfortunate not to win the BSAC annual competition though. That accolade went to her protege, Phil. Phil’s close-up portrait of a handsome Green Turtle swept all before it to collect the overall annual prize and a luxury Liveaboard trip for two to Egypt. Tara’s 3-in-a-row monthly sweep of awards didn’t go completely unrewarded however, as Phil took her with him to Egypt.

Phil's portfolio entry came second in BSOUP's annual competition
And in another significant achievement, Phil also came second in the Newcomer’s Portfolio Category for this year’s BSOUP competition. The British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSOUP) is hugely respected in the world of underwater photography and has many world-famous photographers within it’s ranks. His photographs have also been featured by ReefCheck and Scuba Diver Australasia, while his movie of a Whaleshark, filmed at Ko Haa, was highly commended in Amazing Thailand’s 2008 video competition.
