Ko Haa
Ko Haa is an underwater photographer’s dream dive site – with consistently good visibility, an enormous range of subjects from macro to wide-angle and stunning silhouette opportunities in the caverns.
Ko Haa’s highlights include The Lagoon, The Cathedral, and other caverns, inter-connected chambers and swim-throughs.
The marine life that can be found at Ko Haa varies from rare Ghost Pipefish measuring only a few centimetres, to an abundance of Octopus hiding amongst the rocks and crevices. Hawksbill Turtles are often seen swimming amongst the pristine coral. Manta Rays, Marble Rays, Eagle Rays and even Whale Sharks are spotted here occasionally, as well as sleepy leopard sharks resting on the sandy bottom.
You can’t predict exactly what you’ll see, but it’s always a pleasant and rewarding surprise. And with the great conditions and diversity of marine life, you never know, you might just get that award winning shot!
We make trips to Ko Haa every day during high season on board the luxury dive boat MV Moskito, which has a large dive deck with plenty of room to store your camera equipment.
