Getting to Ko Lanta

 

Getting to Ko Lanta is easy. There are a number of transport options available to you, depending on how you wish to travel. Liquid Lense is based in the south of Ko Lanta in Kantiang Bay.

From Krabi International Airport

Krabi International Airport is the closest airport to Ko Lanta. There are several flights a day between Bangkok and Krabi. Transport can be arranged direct to Ko Lanta from Krabi airport all year round.

The journey time to Ko Lanta is 1.5 – 2.5 hours which includes 2 car-ferry crossings.
Transfer by Private Taxi (up to 4 passengers) - 2,000 baht (approx)
Minibus Transfer - 180 baht per person (approx)
Alternatively, it may be possible to arrange a pick-up with your resort.

By Road

Ko Lanta is accessible by road from Krabi or Trang via two car ferries. Minibuses run trips several times per day or you can book a private taxi.

Transport can be arranged direct to your resort from Krabi or Trang all year round. Journey time to Ko Lanta is approximately 2 hours which includes 2 car-ferry crossings. Please contact any tour operator listed below or your resort to pre-book a transfer.

Transfer by Private Taxi (up to 4 passengers) - 2,000 baht (approx)
Minibus Transfer - 180 baht per person (approx)



By Ferry

Ferries run to Ko Lanta from Phuket, Krabi, Ko Phi Phi & Ko Lipe, however only in the high season  - from Nov-May.

Ferry tickets can be purchased from the pier, your resort or most travel agents in Phuket, Krabi or Ko Phi Phi. The ferry arrives in Saladan, in the north of Ko Lanta.

If you have already booked a resort, it is normally possible to arrange a pickup from the ferry. Alternatively, it is possible to take a taxi to the south of the island for around 3-400 Baht.

By Seaplane

There is a seaplane service running from Phuket Airport which can bring you straight into Kantiand Bay in the south of Ko Lanta.

This service runs once daily, leaving Phuket at 9.00am arriving in Ko lanta at 10.35 after a stopover in Krabi. The price of the seaplane is 7,500 Baht one-way or 15,000 Baht return.
