Congratulations Paul!
Liquid Lense would like to say a huge congratulations to our newest videography student Paul Kirton, who has successfully completed our 6 day Underwater Videographer PLUS course with flying colours!
Paul started out as a complete beginner to underwater videography, having only ever taken pictures while diving before. However, by the end of the 6 days, he was filming the diving guests from Scubafish so well that some of them requested copies of his completed movie!! He also managed to capture some of the resident Black Tip Reef Sharks out at Ko Haa, which is pretty impressive as they are not the easiest of subjects to film.
Paul is the first student to use our brand new Canon Legria HF21 video camera and Ikelite housing, which as proved to be a fantastic addition to our range of rental cameras. Simple to use, lightweight, compact and capable of producing stunning underwater footage, we are more than happy with the results.
Pauls course consisted of learning how to set up and care for an underwater video system, different shot types and filming techniques, composition, buoyancy considerations as well as some indepth editing techniques.
So now Paul is able to film, fully edit and finally produce a stunning DVD of professional standards. So well done Paul, we are very proud of you! Go out there and use your new found skill!
