Tips and Tricks Sessions
Tips and Tricks Session – 1 day, 1,000 THB
At Liquid Lense, we understand that not everyone wants or needs their hands held while learning new skills, some like to just dive straight in with a few pointers and see how they get on.
With this in mind, Liquid Lense now offers an inexpensive, quick and easy Tips & Tricks session that can get you started on the right track, without too much time spent ‘studying the manual!’
The Tips and Tricks session is a great way to be able to get some professional help and tutorials at a fantastic price. During each session you can ask as many questions on as many photography subjects as you like. And due to the flexible way it is set up, there is no need for booking in advance, you can just speak to one of our staff at the shop in the morning, or even when you are already on the boat on your way to the dive site. Simple!
What will I Learn during the Tips and Tricks Session?
The Tips and Tricks session is designed for both novice and experienced underwater photographers alike and can cover any area of photography, from white balance techniques, to different composition ideas, from achieving black backgrounds to learning strobe positioning and effects.
It is completely flexible, we aim to teach you what you want to learn, not what we think you should learn!
The area you work on is entirely up to you, you pick the shot and we’ll tell you how to achieve it.
Typical Tips and Tricks Itinerary
Meet at Scubafish Dive Centre at 7.45am the day you dive, for a tea or coffee, before making your way to the dive boat, where you can relax and enjoy breakfast.
On the boat, one of our Liquid Lense team will go over the area of photography you want to work on, giving advice and helpful tips on how to achieve the type of shot you are aiming for. Once at the dive site, off you go to have fun trying it out on your own.
During the surface interval, we have lunch, then a quick review of your pictures – giving you as much feedback as possible to make sure you get the most out of your next dive.
On the second dive, you can either continue with the same shot types as on the first dive, or if you have mastered that, you can get more tips and tricks on a different area. Its entirely up to you!
Arriving back at the dive centre at around 2.30pm, we’ll review your photos, and discuss what worked as well as areas for further improvement.
How often do you run the sessions?
The Tips and Tricks sessions run everyday. As you do not need an instructor to accompany you during the actual dive, several courses can run in a day with 2 or 3 divers working on different areas of photography. Perfect for couples both diving with cameras who want to try different shot types.
How much does it cost?
The price is 1,000 THB per daily session
* Please note that the cost of diving is not included *
